See item #1004. 1920s. 17-3/8x17-5/8” heavy artboard has choice 14-7/8” Dia. watercolor painting done as concept design for advertising paperweight mirror. Scene is a bit similar to final design but no text, flag is flying different way, smokestack has curled smoke going left, wire fence around courtyard and streetcar is in foreground. Sides of image area show a bit more foliage than foliage shown on actual paperweight. Trace of lt. dust soil around sides with a few pencil marks here and there. Image area is Exc.
