Item Description
Artboards are approximately 6.5x19.5”. Each has a 5-1/8x18-1/8” India ink image area with applied Zipatone dot pattern for shading here and there. The Lone Ranger is in 14 strips including 23 panels. Tonto is in 11 panels. Each daily is signed in ink by long-time Lone Ranger comic strip artist Charles Flanders. Dates include 12-1 to 12-6, 12-8 to 12-13, 12-15 to 12-20, 12-22 to 12-27 and 12-29 to 12-31. Story line has Lone Ranger and Tonto accused of being bank robbers and trying to catch actual bank robbers. 12-18 daily has one word missing in panel 1 balloon. 12-26 to 12-31 have lt. moisture rippling with moisture marks at left sides. Applied Zipatone is a bit yellowed here and there. Fine-VF overall. Well drawn.
