Item Description
c. 1911-1920. First has 11.5x13-3/8” mat with stamp of “The Hughes Co. Baltimore” with 7.5x9.5” opening revealing nice photo of pretty woman who wears traditional Scottish costume sitting on running board with 3 Pekinese dogs and 3 well-dressed men nearby. Mat has some age wear with scattered moisture marks. VG. Image is a bit yellowed with age but overall VF. Next photo is 7.75x9.5” attached to 11x14” cardboard mount with photographer signature at lower right “Waldech 18.” Photo shows 4 happy men in winter clothes in car with top down. Mount has wear around edges with some pieces gone from 3 corner tips. VG. Photo has trace of lt. aging. VF. Crisp image. Third photo is 8x9.75” attached to 11.75x13-5/8” cardboard mount. Image shows man in car with terrier. License plate is dated 1911 Ohio. Mat has scattered lt. to moderate aging with small bits of paper gone from 3 corner tips. Photo has yellowed with age and is a bit faded. VG. Interesting group showing early luxury cars. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
