Item Description
c. late 1920s-early 1930s. First has 7.5x9.5” cardboard mat with 4-3/8x6-3/8” opening revealing 3 attendants behind counter. Products shown include case full of cigar boxes, case with cosmetics, pipes and supplies. Platinum Age “Tillie The Toiler” comics hanging from ceiling along with various sheet music. Gumball machine sits on counter. Wooden telephone hangs on wall near window at right. One case also includes armadillo baskets. Mat is a bit worn around edges. Photo has yellowed with age and has lt. dust soil. VG. Image still striking. Second photo is 5x7” attached to center of 7x9” mount. Glass counter is full of cigar boxes with 2 more at counter next to brass cash register with owner looking at viewer. Signs include natural cigarettes, Rameses Cigarettes and F. Garcia Bros. Tampa. Right corner of mount has diagonal hairline crease repaired on reverse not too visible from front. Fine. Photo has trace of lt. dust soil around edges. Fine. Wonderful images.
