Item Description
c. 1898. 10x12.5x2.5” thick photo album has celluloid cover with large photo of battleship in center and art image of Captain Sigsbee at upper left. Spine and back cover are covered in colorfully designed crushed velvet. Right side has nicely designed brass accent metal clasp. Contents are thin cardboard pages with die-cut windows for cabinet photos. Contains several nice photos of unknown family. Album made by Pyro Photo Co. N.Y. Low relief border of front cover with flowers and scroll designs has scattered color rubs, metal clasps are a bit darkened with age. Inside pages lightly tanned at margin edges. Overall Fine. Wonderful design.
