Item Description
c. 1898. Each glass pitcher is 9” tall overall with relief images. One has bust image of Dewey in wreath held by 2 servicemen on front with text script at left side “Gridley You May Fire When Ready.” Back has scroll with decending text “Olympia, McCulloch, Petrel, Concord, Raleigh, Boston, Baltimore, Manila May 1, 1898.” N.Mint. Second pitcher has image of Dewey on front in wreath frame with artillery cannons and stack of cannonball accents. Reverse side has image of battleship Olympia. This pitcher has had professional lip repair. Fine. Glass is 2.5” dia. by 3-7/8” tall which repeats image on second pitcher including crossed flags atop cannon. Glass has one small chip on inside rim. Fine. Highly detailed designs with wonderful images.
