Item Description
5 postcards, c. early 1920s. Four are French and 1 is English. Three are real photo postcards, each approximately 3.5x5-3/8”. (See previous item #1216 for information on this boxer). Images include 2 of him with bandaged hands in boxing poses with facsimile signatures at bottom, smiling at viewer with arms crossed, fighting Mike McTigue (he lost the title to McTigue) and stereotypical caricature by French artist. Fourth card has inked note on reverse. Trace of lt. aging and dust soil here and there. Overall Fine/VF. Nice group. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
