Item Description
11-7/8x19.75" with 10.75x19-1/8" image area of dinner held at Toots Shor Restaurant February 15, 1944.  Lower left has photo credit of Liberty Flashlight Co. New York.  Cross worked as a reporter for various New York City newspapers including New York Times from 1909 to 1920, and 1924 to 1925, then with sports editor for the New York Evening Post from 1920 to 1924 and the New York Herald Tribune from 1926 to 1941.  He also worked for the New York Giants and was a member of the Baseball HOF committee from June 1945 until his death in 1946.  Lt. age toning, vertical fold through center narrowly breaking image area and a few lt. handling creases here and there.   Blank reverse side has pair of archival tape repairs to fold.  Image area Fine.  From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
