Item Description
25.25x38.25” paper poster for Oct. 15, 1965 concert at the Lincoln Center’s Philharmonic Hall. Poster has great caricature of the Motown trio and was designed by Joe Bula. Concert was the first pop concert held at New York’s Philharmonic Hall at Lincoln Center. This poster was produced as a merchandise item and sold at retail outlets. Signed by original Supremes member Mary Wilson in black ink adding “Touch,” the title to the 1971 Supremes single, the first single in which sole original Supremes member Wilson had a lead vocal on a released Supremes single. “Touch” peaked at #71 on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming the first post-Diana Ross Supreme song to do so. Poster has horizontal fold at bottom partially running through top of Wilson’s signature. This does not detract from overall appearance which remains Exc. Comes with Hake’s COA.
