Auction #201 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1408 in auction 201
Item Description
1.25” button-like celluloid fastened to spring clip reads “Kisses That Are Good And Sweet Are Sweetheart Kisses/P.C.W./Trademark/Made By American Caramel Co./York, PA.” This is a very rare clip from Hake’s home town and this firm is most well known today for its series of early 20th century baseball cards. Minor oxidation on the metal clip. Small bit of air under the lower half of the celluloid but showing very little at all and the piece has no stain with nice high gloss. A rarity, even in York, PA.
