1.75” button-like celluloid fastened to spring clip reads “Checkers Pop Corn Confection/Crisp Candy Coated/Shotwell Mfg. Co., Chicago/A Souvenir In Each 5¢ Package.” While the piece displays quite cleanly, it once had a red and white checkerboard behind the center logo and the red color has all but totally disappeared. O/w celluloid has just a few pinpoint darker dots on upper right edge. Trivial oxidation on the clip itself. A rare piece that still displays nicely in spite of the fading.
