Item Description
Apr.-May, 1939 first series pulp published by Red Circle. First issue. Feature is “Revelry In Hell” by Donald Graham noted by Robert Weinberg as being “Probably The Most Sadistic Torture Story Ever Featured In The Horror Pulps.” Cover shows villains about to throw bound topless blonde into furnace. We believe this art to be by Alex Schomburg as he provided a bw illustration for “Forbidden City” story which featured robed monks pouring liquid onto bare-breasted, bound woman. Issue has some wear along spine and at margins with dust soiling to covers but VG overall. “Bookery’s Guide To Pulps & Related Magazines” value in stated condition = $250. A classic pulp.
