Item Description
Elaborate 28.75x38.75” high quality frame contains original oil painting that has been professionally and attractively matted to 19.5x29.5”. Painting is by noted fantasy comic illustrator Dorian Clevenger and was likely used for a cover to and issue of “Scion,” a comic book published by Crossgen comics in 2000-2004. Ashleigh was the youngest child of the King of the Raven Dynasty, one of 2 main factions in a war that was one of the main focuses of the comic book. Her first appearance was in “Scion” #2. Art was painted in 2000 as dated below Clevenger’s signature at bottom right of painting. Painting features nice full body portrait of Ashleigh with sword resting on vine-covered ruins which include lion’s head fountain with image of distant castle in bkg. Great attention to detail and N. Mint display as framed for this comic art.
