Japan 1930s. 7” tall full figure known to collectors as “Jolly Joe.” (by way of original box text) Has built-in key on back coat bottom. When wound, head moves back and forth, body moves and eyes are supposed to move but do not function. Aging to white areas of outfit and drum head. Small dent in front of foot. One replaced drumstick. Fine. Nicely hand-painted.
