Item Description
Lot of 13, all from the Warren Publishing Co. archives. This was a 1968 feature film from Italian film maker Mario Bava based on the Italian comic book character and came out of the Dina DeLaurentiis Rome Production line about the same time as Barbarella (see previous lot #2743). In fact, in a 1968 review Roger Ebert wrote “Danger: Diabolik Is Very Nearly The Movie Barbarella Should Have Been.” Lot includes 4 different small sized 8x10” full color lobby cards and 9 different 8x10” glossy bw stills all with Paramount Pictures information on bottom margins. Nice assortment of images from this cult classic film that has popped up in pop culture over the years including having a scene parodied in The Beastie Boys’ music video “Body Movin.” One still has corner tip off, few others with some margin wear, lobbies have tack holes at corners. Minor issues as all remains clean and glossy. Fine to Exc.
