Item Description
3-5/8x5-5/8” envelope has Nov. 10, 1966 Royal Post postmark and is addressed to female fan Miss Loretta Brown from Flushing, NY. Jones has hand-addressed the envelope which has rough opening and reverse has glue from scrapbook and surface paper. VG-. 5x8” sheet of unruled paper with hand-written letter in black ink by Rolling Stones founding member Brian Jones (see previous item #3010). Letter reads “Dear Loretta, Thank You Dear For Your Nice Letters And The Photos You Sent. Please Forgive Me For Not Replying To Your Letter Till Now, But I Have Been So Very Busy. Yes, The Photos Of Your Sketches Are Very Good, And I’d Love To See Some More. I’ve Got The Others To Sign The Pack Of The Photos For You. I Must Rush Dear Honestly, Brian Jones XX.” Letter has been folded twice horizontally for mailing and reverse has area of glue from mounting in scrapbook which shows through to page slightly. Sheet is slightly aged but VF/Exc. Jones’ signature has fold line through but remains distinct and Exc. Great personal content. Comes with Hake’s COA.
