Item Description
c. 1940, 23.25x24.5" linen sheet has 20.75x21.75" poster in center w/wonderful action scene of Wyatt throwing ball which has text "At All The Games It's Chesterfield". Lower left margin has text "Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. Litho In USA." Scattered lt. dust soil, most noticeable on linen-mount edges. Poster has some green color touch ups here and there w/a few lt. moisture marks on image area. VG/Fine appearance w/bright color and great design. Great for display. Scarce. Whitlow Wyatt pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1939-1944 and was most famous for winning 22 games in 1941. He helped lead the team to the National League Pennant and won Brooklyn's only victory in that year's World Series.
