22x27.25" thin cardboard poster mounted on Bainbridge board for fight held Monday, February 7th at Turner's Arena in Washington DC. Text across top "Blackwood Faces The Acid Test!". Left side has nice photo of Blackwood punching speed bag and lower right has photo of Chet Vinci bare-fisted. Joe Blackwood was a leading contender for the middleweight championship in the late 1940s and early 1950s but never quite made it. Joe Blackwood won this particular fight w/a first round knock-out. Poster has some lt. creasing w/a few surface paper splits near top. VG as mounted.
