Item Description
Five are Cuban, two USA and all are from the 1950s. Glossy photos range in size from 7.5x9.25" to 8.25x9-7/8". Photos include Gavilan in action throwing a left jab, being knocked down, training for fight with Ernie Durando, plowing a field behind team of oxen, riding a horse with palm trees in bkg., and shadow boxing in street clothes. Nice mix of boxing and leisure activities. Scattered lt. wear with a few handling creases but overall group is Fine to Exc. See item #1343 for Gavilan biography. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
