Item Description
c. 1950s. Made by "Hoague-Sprague Corp. Lynn, Mass." 6.75x10.25x3.25" deep thin cardboard box has circus wagon graphics on five sides with "Howdy Doody" name stamped on one end panel. Box lid has 1" split at top and bottom, scattered moisture marks. VG. Contains 8.5" long pair of cloth slippers w/plain sides and rubber soles w/smiling Howdy Doody vinyl head on front top of each w/fabric bandana. Heads squeak lightly. Slippers have some dust soil and aging. Vinyl Howdy heads are faded w/some loss of color. Left side of one Howdy head has a few ink marks. Bandanas are frayed at edges. Overall VG. Heads still squeak. Rare. First we've offered.
