Item Description
1940s. 17-7/8x23-7/8" with nice illustration of Hawkins playing trumpet, signed at lower right by artist Albert Fisher. Text at bottom reads "Erskine Hawkins Exclusive RCA Victor Recording Artist". Hawkins (1914-1993) started playing professionally in the early 1930s and got a recording contract with RCA in 1938. His three major hits were Tippin' In, Tuxedo Junction, and After Hours. Sign is lightly faded, scattered wear around edges and corners with nail holes in all four corners. Overall Fine. Still nice for display.
