Item Description
All c. 1930s. Made by New England Confectionery Company Cambridge Mass. Eight items. Candy boxes are a thin cardboard. First is 7.25x9.25x3.25" for "Bolsters", the other is 7.5x10.5x3" for "Soft Mint Lozenges". First box has some fading of two side panels, otherwise VF. Second box is a bit worn around edges with large hand lettered text "Save" in crayon on top. VG. Tin is 10.75" tall with nice graphics including Colonial maiden in large dress feeding birds on front and back with side panel art of trees and butterflies. Top has some oxidation, a few lt. color rubs around sides. VG. Jars are each 5.5x5.5x10" tall with nice Art Deco design. One has "Peach Blossoms" paper label on front which is worn and just VG. Jars themselves are Exc. These jar designs were used into the 1950s. Wonderful group for a country store display or to just hold candy.
