Item Description
9.25x12.25" issue for December 15, 1932 Vol. 22 No. 3 has 16 pages with nice front cover ad for “Your Bread And Butter Star! Ken Maynard”. Page nine has classic full page ad with wonderful graphics in center of Boris Karloff as the Mummy set against black background. Has text at top “Will More Than Likely Exceed The Box Office Result Of Frankenstein” and text just beneath image “Karloff (The Uncanny) In The Mummy” with list of co-stars along with Universal logo. The film was released December 22, the week after this magazine's date. Issue also includes inside cover ad for “Strange Adventure” Regis Toomey movie and text news of movie theater business. Issue has spine split repaired with archival tape, some lt. handling creases. Back cover has a few pieces gone at upper right. Inside pages have 3/8" tear at top but Mummy ad is otherwise VF. Very limited distribution, just sent to movie theater owners and film companies. Comes with Hake’s COA.
