Item Description
30x34.75" overall intricately designed with great detail dated 1915 at top. Center has 20.25x23 3/8" glass covered opening with image of Washington in center surrounded by draped flags and eagle while sides have images of soldiers, cannons, and drums. Top area has star in sunburst design with large date “1732-1799" (Washington birth and death years) and very top has attached wooden number “1915R”. Done at a later date by same person as Spanish-American War display #1519. Contrasting colors of crushed velvet are used around frame in center image to accent display. Round thin wood attachment at center bottom is missing bottom edge and one at center right side edge has a few splits. Trace of lt. scattered aging and dust soil but overall Fine/VF. Wonderful folk art item with incredible detail.
