Item Description
7 3/8x9 3/8" semi-glossy photo by Jearnigan from 1921. Serious looking well-dressed man is calmly sitting in passenger seat of car with top down which has been totally covered, including wheel hubs, with cowhide. Large steer head with horns protrudes in front. Text near running board reads, “Fain-Bender Motor Co.”. Reverse side has printed text noting “Essex” car was decorated by Fred Bender, Fort Worth, Texas car dealer. Car has been entered in the coming automobile show and various stock shows through North Texas. Photo has lt. 1.5" crease at upper left. Margins have been neatly trimmed. Photo is printed a bit lightly, otherwise Fine. Great image. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
