Item Description
6.25x9.25" hard cover titled “Les Tatouages Du Milieu” by Jacques DeLarue and Robert Giraud. Appears to be first edition published by LaRoulotte Paris. First half of book has 54 pages with text and art images detailing history of tattoo art. Second half of book consists of slick paper pages with numerous photos of men and women with tattoos. Dust wrapper has front leg tattoos on front cover and back leg tattoos on back cover. Over 60 graphic photos with text written by police inspector who appears to be discussing criminals and their involvement with tattooing. Dust wrapper is heavily worn and is missing some paper along spine and cover edges. Fair/Good. Book itself has some dust soil and is missing spine. First section of pages are lightly tanned at margin edges. Back portion photo pages are clean and VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
