Item Description
Four items. All early 1900s. Three postcards are 3.5x5.5". Two show large crowds at entrance to Steeplechase which is subtitled “The Funny Place”. One has sign with text “25 Attractions Admission 25¢”. Third card shows crowd of people waiting or riding “Uncle Sam Swing” in front of Steeplechase. First two cards are used, with writing in front of one in ink at bottom under “Bowery Entrance” title. Extreme corner tips are a bit rounded with some scattered lt. dust soil. Overall VG/Fine. Felt pennant is 21.75" long with leather insert at left with art image of Steeplechase Park. Pennant has moderate fading on display side with some lt. dust soil and lt. vertical crease in center. Overall Fine. Complete with tails. Nice group. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
