Item Description
Late 1890s-early 1900s. 12 x 13 7/8" cardboard mount has 7.5x9.5" photo in center showing four of the same people as in previous item #964. Ride signs have text “Coney-Island Latest Nothing But Fun Bamboo Slide 2 Rides 5¢”. Idlewood Amusement Park was located in Richmond, Virginia and mount has “Foster Richmond” photographer text in relief. Mount has tack holes in middle of top and bottom edge, some lt. dust soiling and a few moisture marks. Mat is Fine. Photo itself is Exc. Great early amusement image. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
