Item Description
3.75" dia. by 3.5" tall c. 1920s. Lid has embossed text "Dixie Peanut Butter/The Kelly Co. Cleveland, O.". Front has nice photo of smiling young Jackie looking at viewer with facsimile signature "Jackie". Sides have nice art of student in classroom with angry teacher. Lid is variety with no Jackie Coogan name but correct as issued by Dixie with Dixie name also on inside tin rim edge. Scattered lt. to moderate wear overall. VG. Likely made shortly after release of Charlie Chaplin silent film classic "The Kid" which co-starred Jackie Coogan. Nice for display.
