Item Description
18mm (.75") listed by Dewitt/Sullivan as AL 1864-72 with name of engraver "Pacquet" on the truncation and struck at the U.S. Mint. Reverse reads "Abraham Lincoln/An Honest Man/The Crisis Demands/His Re-Election/1864." Bordered with a silver rope-like rim with above accent for suspension. Front and back are each covered in highly domed glass. Reverse center has some tiny surface scratches that only slightly effect the clarity of the reverse text. The front of the piece is essentially Mint. First example we've offered. Rare.
