Item Description
2-3/8" dark metal barpin has celluloid insert with the text. Celluloid is lightly but evenly tanned and any traces of other discoloration was a little dust which has now been removed. Suspended below is a 2.25" ribbon which loops through a bar on the back of a white metal frame holding a 1" domed celluloid portrait of McKinley. Gold background is uniformly dark which appears to be as the item was made. Just above the metal frame the ribbon has a couple of very small weave separations with a couple of .25" splits which the folded fabric generally disguises well. One the very few campaign items of this era which we've seen designating Brooklyn. Displays nicely. Rare.
