Item Description
This group and items through lot #574 are from a collection of cardboard advertising whistles built over many years. In this group of seven the smallest are 2.25" long and the largest 3.5" long. In order: (1) Cracker Jack early package shown on front with Angelus package on reverse. (2) This one also shows Cracker Jack box although red color is faded on that side but on opposite side the Angelus Marshmallow design is still VF. (3) Weather-bird shoes. (4) Poll-Parrot shoes. (5) Lava soap (this has some gray age marks but it very early and very rare). (6) The Great Majestic Range (minor age and a little tiny surface paper off the reverse). (7) Advertisement for "Junior Chautauqua" in "Swarthmore, Pa." showing Stature of Liberty flame plus Liberty Bell. Some pencil accents added to the bell. While all show some age overall condition is VG to Fine. Other than the two for Cracker Jack, we've never seen any of these before.
