Item Description
c. 1880-1890 by Stollwerck Brothers Cologne, Germany. 2.5x3x6.25" tall overall tin litho with glass windows on two sides. Three sides have different hand shadows designs. One of a large series of different banks in this style produced by this famous German company. Bank is designed with coin slot on top with candy container interior viewed through the glass front. Middle of bank has wire handle with text "Put One Cent In The Slot And Pull The Handle." Front window is missing small piece of glass at lower right and base plating has some paint loss. Fine overall. Wonderful design.
