Item Description
7.25x15x2" deep box contains complete and unused set, 1950s. Box lid has a 1x2" area of missing surface paper but this appears only on the bkg. area above the Hoppy image and below his name. A minor color touchup would easily hide this defect. The green portion on lower area of box has very st. fade. Box overall remains quite clean and tight. Fine. The cap gun is 8.5" long cast metal w/plastic grips that have incised image of Hoppy along w/his name. "Hopalong" also appears in raised lettering on the gun itself plus additional ornate design. Gun has never been fired but grips have some defects due to aging including a tiny 1/8" hairline on each grip where the raised Wyandott metal logo appears, grip on right side also has thin trace of pink discoloration on top and bottom edges. Grips are Fine, rest of gun has a N. Mint appearance. The elaborately designed spurs are die cast metal, complete w/chains and come w/separate leather straps. Each strap has tooled leather design w/2" dia. die cast metal attachment that includes relief image of Hoppy. The Hoppy images and the metal buckles have trace of aging as boxed. Overall still Exc. to N. Mint. High quality boxed set.
