Auction #202 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1553 in auction 202
Item Description
Size 7 ring is marked on the inner surface "10K" and the underside of the top has the neatly engraved names "John" and "Harry." The ring itself has nice accents left and right of the top which has inset enamel surrounding a pair of gold stars. A speck of white enamel is off next to one star and under magnification the dark outer panel has some additional wear but no loss which reveals the underlying metal. The Son in Service concept began during WWI and this is the only ring we've seen from that time period. Also see several items in our WWII section. Also see Pennsylvania Railroad medal awarded to employee/soldier #702.
