Item Description
1.25" button which is American made although with no backpaper and with a fixed horizontal pin. At right is an Italian flag with full figure of soldier before it and small caption "Italia." At the left the Italian soldier is seen delivering a kick to the rear end of a soldier flying into the air and with tiny caption "Austria" between his legs. The button is captioned in Italian "Fatti I Cazzi Tuoi." This phase translates to the English equivalent of: Mind Your Own F...... Business." The button was inspired after war broke out in Europe and Italy attempted to come to some understanding with Austria-Hungary but was rebuffed and eventually the Italian Ambassador at Vienna was instructed to declare to the Austro-Hungarian government that the Italian government considered itself free from all ties arising out of the Treaty of the Triple Alliance. Only example we've seen and N. Mint, displaying Mint. Morry Greener Collection.
