Item Description
This copy is part of the San Francisco Pedigree. One of the cornerstone heroes of Golden Age Timely, the Sub-Mariner is still going strong today. This issue features a strong, highly-detailed cover by Alex Schomburg. The artist places the Sub-Mariner in the middle of an unspecified military beach landing. As Nazi tanks try and force him down, he dramatically rises above it all to take on all comers. Few artists of the time could pack so much into so little space. Schomburg was among the best ever. The issue also features The Angel. Interior art is also provided by Allen Simon, Gustav Schrotter, and Jimmy Thompson. The pages are white. The book is CGC-certified 9.6 (NM+). According to the CGC census, this is the highest graded copy they have seen.
