Item Description
.75" wide with portraits of both him and his horse which has distinctive circle around one eye. Burnette worked with Gene Autry and many other movie cowboys with a career beginning in 1934 and including a spot on TV's Petticoat Junction in the 1960's. This pin from his fan club is c. 1940 when he ranked second only to Gene Autry in a Boxoffice magazine popularity poll of Western stars. The horse depicted here was white with a black ring around the left eye and was known first as Black-eyed Nellie and then eventually just Ring Eye. Rare and with N. Mint luster.
