Item Description
This cover is notable for the picture of Hitler on the wall as well as the skin-tight costume of Miss Fury. Female heroes were scarce during the Golden Age and Miss Fury worked as hard as she could to stay around. During her eight-issue run at Marvel she usually included a couple pages of pin-ups - this issue has two - and on one or two occasions she wouldn’t appear in costume during the story. She also fought the good fight during wartime, but when the war was over, she may have lost steam. Every issue also featured a great cover, but even with all the effort, she saw cancellation in 1946.The pages are cream to off-white. The book is CGC-certified 9.0 (VF/NM). According to the CGC Census, this copy is tied with one other as the second highest graded copy they have seen.
