Item Description
With an incredibly action-packed cover by Dick Sprang, this issue of Detective brings a real sense of danger to the fight against crime. Sprang creates a hostile environment that gives the cover a solid sense of perilous danger. Batman and Robin are taking care of the crooks, but who is driving the boat? The boat is traveling such an openly violent sea that the danger is real. Take a look at the extra menace of the lightning flashing in the background. Sprang’s vision for Batman was amazing. The book also features interior art by George Roussos and Martin Naydel. There is also a Joe Greene story. The pages are off-white to white. The book is CGC-certified 6.5 (FN+). DC always mentioned support for the war effort. The cover headlines a plea to back the 5th War Loan.
