Item Description
From its debut at the end of 1942, Comic Cavalcade was designed to cover a lot of bases with the fans. Over the years the book featured a high number of different characters and stories. There was never one overall theme except one: fun. Anchored by the continuing cover appearances of The Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, the book was a big 100 pages and cost 15 cents. For that much money, AA Comics knew they had to give the fans a lot of bang for the buck. The mixed concept lasted until 1948 when the contents moved from a combination of heroics and funny animals to just funny animals (i.e. The Fox and Crow). This issue features a perfect Thanksgiving themed cover by E.E. Hibbard. The issue also contains art by Wonder Woman mainstay H.G. Peter. For a book that close to a 100 page count, it looks great. The color is bright. The pages are white. The book is CGC-certified 9.0. (VF/NM). This copy is tied with one other as the third highest-graded copy they have seen.
