4x6x2.5" deep box has nice lid graphics of newsboy in patriotic clothes ringing bell. 1940s version made in occupied Japan by Nikko Toy. Box bottom is a replacement, box otherwise VF with Exc. applied label. 6" tall tin litho toy with celluloid head has built-in key and works. He rings bell vigorously, turns his head and other arm moves tin litho paper back and forth. Paper has interesting sports-theme graphics. Celluloid head of toy is Exc., body has small nicks overall but still displays Fine. Great design. Working.
