Each is c. late 1970s done for American Greetings Card Co. Each is done in pencil, India ink and watercolor. First painting comes in 11x15.75" metal frame with archival mat with 6.75x10.75" opening revealing delightful scene of Santa Claus and snowman singing Christmas carol with mistletoe and holly on their hats with small rabbit nearby ringing bell. Bottom portion of scene has musical staff with birds singing. Bottom portion is lightly tanned, o/w image area is bright and Exc. Initials "RJM" in pencil just above right side of musical staff. Second painting has 4.75x5.5" image area on 11x16-1/8" art board with koala bear ringing bells with curling ribbon in bkg. Painting is titled "Ring Out The Old-Ring In The New!" in pencil at bottom blank margin. Top portion has no.60NY2-5546 on strip of masking tape in blank area and comes with original company envelope with date of Jan. 20, 1979 and photocopy of card. Painting is bright and NM. Wonderful examples of Morehead's delightful art.
