Item Description
c. late 1970s. Sheet of translucent art paper has 6.75x7" image area drawn in litho pencil showing Strawberry Shortcake with Blueberry Muffin, Huckleberry Pie, and Custard the cat having a picnic with cake and soda as sun shines brightly in bkg. and happy butterfly flits by. Sheet is taped at top to thin art board which has pencil and watercolor image of same scene to be used for printing purposes. Margin is in circular lead pencil, possibly for use as a design for a plate. Color art board has a few notations in pencil, o/w both image areas are Exc. and well-done. Strawberry Shortcake was created by Muriel Fahrion in 1977 while working for the American Greetings Card Co. Delightful images.
