Item Description
Two items. Ceramic ashtray is 3.25x4" with 2.25" tall matchbox holder in center with art image of cigarette pack on both sides. c. 1930s. Text includes "No Gold Tips But Finest Quality/Cameron & Cameron Co. Richmond Va Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. Successor". Image includes woman with veil on her face. Glaze at three corners has tiny flakes off. Fine. Queen's tin is 2.75x3-5/8x5/8" deep c. early 1900s. Detailed lid graphics have Arabian man on horseback getting pack of cigarettes from woman cigarette seller with tent and palm trees nearby and city in distance along with 1893 Chicago Expo award designed as blanket hanging on poles nearby. Reverse side has detailed art image of factory and offices. Most text is in French. Inside text mentions awards received at World's Columbian Exposition Chicago 1893 and French Expo in 1894. Tin has scattered lt. wear on all sides but Fine overall. Both items are nice for display. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
