6-7/8x9.75" vol 1 #1 from Sept. 1936 with 96 inside pages. C.J.H Publications Inc. First of only two issues of this pulp. Cover features image of Dan Dunn with smoking pistol in front of red/white checkerboard pattern. "Based On The Famous Newspaper Character Created By Norman Marsh". Contents include full length novel titled "Death Before Midnight". Covers have wear around edges, front cover has a few moisture marks at left and right sides, spine is missing .75" piece at bottom and back cover ad has 1" vertical tear at bottom and a few moisture marks. Inside pages are lightly but evenly tanned though not brittle. Overall covers VG. Pages VG+. Listed in "Bookery's Guide To Pulps & Related Magazines" at $275 in VG. Scarce.
