Item Description
This fantastic cover is done by Dick Ayers. The Ghost Rider dramatically takes center stage as his all-white horse raises back on its hind legs. Ayers’ skill elevates this clichéd scene to a very interesting and enjoyable level. The name Ghost Rider has graced several characters over the years, but this one is the first. In the late forties and early fifties, comics were looking for new ways to reach the public. Western-themed comics were among the most successful. This issue also contains the Ghost’s origin. This title lasted until 1954 when it was canceled with issue #14. The number for this title also can be followed under the title A-1. Using that title’s listing, this issue is #27.The pages are cream to off-white. The book is CGC-certified 8.5 (VF+).
