Item Description
Similar to Hake-Harrison #3235 although this features a different photo. The piece is in two shades of luster with the chair back and legs in brass and inscribed "Presidential Chair" while the seat area is in muted silver luster and reads "Who Shall Occupy It." A small tab at bottom edge is pressed and then the seat flies up to reveal a sepia cardboard photo of Harrison. There is the tiniest bit of surface paper loss from his photo but this is largely seen as just a little lighter tone at the upper left edge although under a magnifying glass a tiny bit of paper is also off his forehead and below his right eye. Still to the naked eye the photo image is NM and the metallic luster on the entire piece is essentially Mint. In our experience this two tone metallic variety is much scarcer than the versions done all in a silver luster. A classic and among the earliest mechanical pins.
