Item Description
With the first appearances of Daisy Duck’s nieces, April, May and June, this Dell Giant would be a great collector’s item on its own. Add the fantastic cover by Tony Strobl and you have an even more desirable book. If that isn’t enough, there is interior art by Al Hubbard, Jack Bradbury, as well as Strobl. For several years, Dell Publishing was using the Giants to host themed annuals. Donald had his Beach Party, Tom and Jerry had their Summer Fun, and the Nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, had Back to School. This is the third one in that series. The Dell Giants were 84 pages and they had a heavier stock cardboard cover that was damaged easily. It is hard to find them in good condition. Plus, the books were designed to be read by young kids and the kids just tore them up. The book is solid art from cover to cover. The pages are off-white to white. The book is CGC-certified 7.5 (VF-). According to the CGC Census, this is the third-highest graded copy they have seen. The cover by Strobl is everything a comic aimed at young kids should be: clean, clear, and full of hope.
