Item Description
Strip #365 ©1929 The Bell Syndicate. 7.25x23" thin art board has three panels. Art is titled in pencil "The Romance Trail" on bottom margin. First panel has friends worried about why Tommy is so late and second panel shows him in open coupe with pretty girl Betty in moonlight with caption at bottom "Magic Night Of Enchantment - And Youth In Love - Somewhere In Texas!" Tommy says "I Love You So!" in third panel as he kisses Betty. Art is signed by creator Hal Forrest at lower right corner of third panel which also has Bell Syndicate paper sticker at bottom. Some lt. surface dust soil on image area, mostly noticeable in panel one. Art will mat and frame to VF appearance. The strip began on April 30, 1928 and ran until 1942. A well drawn example.
